Ashleigh Hoult is a rare breed. This vibrant people’s person is a Cold Calling Queen and has always thrived on making those calls that most dread…calls to perfect strangers. In 2011 she turned her passion into a highly successful lead generation business, ‘The Promo Donna’, and is one of Outcomes Business Group’s valued co-presenters at The Breakfast.
Ashleigh put her public relations qualifications into good use for over 5 years in her telesales and PR roles, during which time she explored and cultivated the most effective ways of building rapport and gaining credibility with strangers. When her employer “went under” her entrepreneurial spirit (yes, she was one of those “I ran a lemonade store as a child” people) was let loose and she began her own business. Starting with making calls from her bedroom, to not irk her flatmates, her growing business required an additional team member just 12 months later, before further expanding and moving to an office in Frankston in 2013. Her skills in sales training become sought after by external companies and her interest in presenting emerged.
The opportunity in 2016 to participate as a presenter at The Breakfast had immediate appeal to Ashleigh. She recognised The Breakfast as a chance to pitch herself as an expert, promote her brand, gain additional kudos with her invited clients and increase her experience as a presenter. She further utilised the event by bringing her own videographer along for social media promotion post-event.
Ashleigh describes The Breakfast model as “Fantastic! A unique model with the meetings and post event analysis”. With the stunning event venue, pre-event support and professional event management afforded by Outcomes Business Group, it was automatic that Ashleigh would repeat this experience and build upon her first presentation, whilst getting in front of 65-80 business owners again.
The focus on ensuring a guest list with a target market that aligned with all presenters is part of the winning formula from her perspective. Her only advice to fellow future presenters is to ensure they follow up the leads generated from the event within the first week to maximise the benefits.
From a numbers perspective. The Return On Investment for the event has proven “The Breakfast” to be one of the best marketing strategies for generating high quality leads. Ashleigh says of the four events she’s presented at, she’s gained 16 new clients generating over $60,000 revenue from an investment of $1500 per event. It is no surprise that she describes herself as “a raving fan” of this presenting opportunity/model. The positive feedback from her clients is a bonus for her, along with her increased confidence to realise her goal as a sought after speaker in a much greater capacity in the future.
